Memorandum of Understanding between Damascus University and the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection
Damascus University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, aimed at dissemination the culture of creativity and innovation, encouraging inventors and improving the quality of research, innovations and scientific invention.
Both parties undertook to extend all needed assistance to ensure the success of this cooperation, particularly in relation to:
-    Imparting the culture of intellectual property at universities and including joint activities within the action plan of both parties.
-    Encouraging creators, inventors and youth to create and invent and guiding them to be patented in order to preserve their rights.
-    Joint organization of the university students and staff participation in exhibitions of inventors in Syria and abroad.
-    Exchange information materials and promotional movies that impart intellectual property culture.
-    Exchange information and data of Syrian patents and the university students innovations.
-    Providing the requirements of developing the strategies of imparting  intellectual property culture
-    Organizing joint workshops and training courses.
