Aim: Analgesics-induced nephropathy is a serious complication resulting from the chronic and randomly use of analgesics, especially over-the-counter such as Aspirin, Paracetamol, and Ibuprofen, which is usually used in Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and rheumatic fever. This study aims to investigate the therapeutic effect of cardamom extract on aspirin-induced nephropathy in rats model. 24 female Albino Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups (n=8/group): (Control) Normal Control group, (ASA) Aspirin group (600 mg/kg/day for 4 days), (Card 100) Aspirin + cardamom group (100 mg/kg/day 7 days). Methods: body weight was measured daily, kidney/body weight ratio was calculated, blood urea and serum creatinine levels were measured to estimate renal function and lipid peroxidation was evaluated by measuring malondialdehyde concentrations (MDA) in kidney tissue. The statistical study was conducted using Prism. Parametric data were evaluated using the One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, followed by Tukey's multiple comparisons test. The results were considered significant at P<0.05. Results: There was a significant increase in the kidney/body weight ratio, and in the serum levels of urea and creatinine, as well as in the MDA concentrations, when compared aspirin group (ASA) to the normal control group (Control), while it showed a significant decrease when comparing the treatment group (Card 100) with the aspirin group (ASA). Conclusion: Cardamom extract showed a therapeutic ability against aspirin-induced nephropathy through significant improvement in kidney functions due to its antioxidant activity
