The present study was conducted in the Plant Protection Labs. and at the Center of Biological Control Researches (Faculty of Agriculture, University of Damascus) during 2020-2024. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Beauveria bassiana against both eggs and adults females of Citrus Brown Mite Eutetranychus orientalis Klein (Acari: Tetranychidae) under laboratory and semi-field conditions. Relative efficiency of four local fungal isolates (B. b1؛ B. b2؛ B. b3؛ B. b4) of B. bassiana was compared under laboratory conditions. The experiments were applied as a fungal suspension at three concentrations (106, 107 and 108 spores/ml). The virulence of the B. b2 and B. b4 isolates were estimated against E. orientalis adults females, under semi-field conditions. The results indicated high mortality rate of the four fungal isolations at all concentrations against the E. orientalis stages. B. b2 and B. b4 showed more effect than other isolations. B. b1 caused a mortality rate 71, 76 and 88 % of adult females after 7 days of treatment at the concentrations 106, 107 and 108 spores/ml respectively. B. b2 caused a mortality rate 72, 83 and 90 % of adult females after 7 days of treatment at identical concentrations respectively. B. b3 caused a mortality rate 68, 79 and 85 % of adult females after 7 days of treatment at identical concentrations respectively. B. b2 caused a mortality rate 85, 92 and 96 % of adult females after 7 days of treatment at identical concentrations respectively. There were no significant differences in egg hatching rate between all treatments and control. Egg hatching rate under the highest concentration was 65, 63, 64 and 59 % for B. b1, B. b2, B. b3 and B. b4 respectively. The semi-filed experiments indicated high mortality rate of E. orientalis adult females, there were significant differences between the B. b2 and B. b2 and the control at all concentrations. The present results showed that the effect of B. bassiana against the Citrus Brown Mite stages increased by both time and high concentration.
