 🔶الأستاذ الدكتور محمد فراس الحناوي

درس الهندسة الميكانيكية في جامعة دمشق وأوفد لمتابعة دراساته العليا في بريطانيا حيث حصل على الدكتوراه في الهندسة الطبية باختصاص التجهيزات الطبية البصرية من جامعة Strathclyde عام 1992، عاد بعدها إلى سوريا حيث عين مدرساً لمقررات التجهيزات الطبية – التطبيب عن بعد – السلامة في المشافي لبرامج الإجازة والماجستير في قسم الهندسة الطبية.
يشغل الدكتور الحناوي منصب نائب رئيس جامعة دمشق للبحث العلمي والدراسات العليا منذ عام 2020، كما شغل سابقاً منصب رئيس قسم الهندسة الطبية في جامعة دمشق ومنصب عميد كلية الهندسة الميكانيكية والكهربائية فكان له إنجازات عديدة حيث كان أول من أسس لمعرض مشاريع كلية الهندسة الميكانيكية والكهربائية عام 2018، وأسس مخبر الأطراف الصناعية العلوية MED 3Dبالتعاون مع مغتربين سوريين في إيطاليا كما أسس لفكرة حاضنة تطوير المشاريع والأبحاث التكنولوجية لطلاب كلية الهمك.
عضو مؤسس في الجمعية السورية للطاقات المتجددة ورئيس لجنة الهندسة الطبية في نقابة المهندسين السوريين، كما يعمل الدكتور كاستشاري في هندسة المشافي في سوريا والعديد من دول الجوار (لبنان – المملكة العربية السعودية – الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
للدكتور مؤلفات وأبحاث عديدة في مجال التجهيزات الطبية والتطبيب عن بعد وهندسة المشافي كما له مشاركات في العديد من المؤتمرات وأشرف على العديد من رسائل الدكتوراه والماجستير.
 
🔶Prof. Muhammad Firas Alhinnawi
He studied mechanical engineering at Damascus University and pursued his postgraduate studies in Britain. He obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering specialising in medical optical equipment from the University of Strathclyde in 1992. He returned to Syria afterward, where he was appointed as a teacher for the courses of medical devices- telemedicine - safety in hospitals in bachelor's and master's programs in the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Alhinnawi has been the Vice President of Damascus University for Scientific Research Affairs and postgraduate studies since 2020. He previously was Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at Damascus University and Dean of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Faculty, during which he had many achievements; as he established the projects' exhibition in the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 2018, the 3D MED upper limb prosthetics laboratory in cooperation with Syrian expatriates in Italy, and also established for the idea of an incubator for developing projects and technological research in the faculty.
He is a founding member of the Syrian Society for Renewable Energy and the Head of The Biomedical Engineering Committee in The Syrian Engineers Association; he also works as a consultant in hospital engineering in Syria and neighbouring countries (Lebanon - Saudi Arabia - United Arab Emirates).
The professor has several books and publications in medical equipment, telemedicine, and hospital engineering. He has also participated in many conferences and supervised many PhD and master's theses.
