A Professional Fellowship Program in Accounting and Taxation was launched at the Faculty of Economics, Damascus University, in cooperation between the Office of Professional Practice at the faculty and the General Commission for Taxes and Fees. The program aims to train graduates of the Economics Faculty, Law Faculty, and Business Administration, who want to develop their skills for the labor market, in addition to candidates from public and private entities.

  On the occasion of the opening of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Al-Mouwasat University Hospital, the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University, in partnership with the Division and Department of Otology at the hospital, organized a scientific day entitled “Modern Prospects in the Management of Lesions of the Maxillofacial Region”. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Bassam Ibrahim, and President of Damascus University, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, visited the inaugurated department in the presence of the hospital director and the dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.

 President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, met today with a delegation from the Russian Federation that includes President of the Russian Society of Dermatologists and Cosmetic Dermatologists, Artem Kalmykov, President of the Russian Association of Drugs Exporters and Importers, Dr. Dmitry Amutnykh, and Chairman of the Russian National Center “Alliance” for Dermatology, Nikolai Potekev, and the first specialist at the Russian National Center “Alliance” for Dermatology, Dr. Pyotr Budan. 

 Evaluating chromium contamination and its relationship to soil components in Eastern Ghouta, Damascus, was the aim of a scientific study conducted by a research team from the Faculty of Agriculture at Damascus University entitled: “Chronical Soil Pollution with Chromium in the Tanneries Area: a Case Study in Damascus, Syria.”
