Faculty of Health Sciences Launches a Therapeutic Service in a Number of its Specialized Clinics

 

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University has launched a therapeutic and advisory service through a group of clinics specializing in the treatment of speech and language disorders, hearing aids, and tinnitus management.

 

Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Samer Mohsen, explained that one of these clinics is “Speech and Language Disorders Treatment” clinic, which is concerned with auditory and linguistic rehabilitation for cochlear implant recipients, treatment of speech disorders, fluency, stuttering, voice disorders, resonance, and aphasia resulting from nerve damage. The clinic provides necessary consultations within the auditory rehabilitation program by speech and language therapists who are graduates of the faculty under the supervision of specialists from the faculty teaching staff.

 

The “Hearing Aids” clinic provides the service of installing, experimenting, calibrating and consulting hearing aids to choose the right device for patients and follow them up on a continuous basis.
