Writing News Reports: A training Workshop at the Faculty of Media

The faculty of Media at Damascus University organized a training workshop on news reports within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the faculty and RT Channel, with the aim of empowering students in the practical aspect.

The topics of the workshop, presented by media correspondent Wafaa Shabrouni, focus on writing news reports, report making, and the art of writing STAND.

Dean of the faculty, Dr. Baraa Shuqair, explained that the workshop aims to provide students with basic practical skills on preparing and drafting media reports and to train them on the rules of preparing television reports

The workshop was keen to provide the trainees with the main practical skills for planning, preparing and implementing a news report for television, teaching them the standards of news editing, the rules of photography and montage, as well as the proper use of the image in the television report.
