In the presence of Minister of Higher Education, Prof Bassam Ibrahim, and President of Damascus University, Prof Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, the Fourteenth International Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Mathematical Society began under the slogan: “Creativity Meets Challenges for Scientific and Technological Progress,” which is organized by the Faculty of Science at the Damascus University and the Iraqi Mathematical Society, in cooperation with the Second Faculty of Science, Daraa Branch, and Al-Anwar Center for Development and Education in Iraq.
Based on strengthening the role of the Faculty of Dentistry and keeping pace with all that is new, scientific activities continue in the faculty to realize the goal of Damascus University in serving society. In this context, the Office of Professional Practice organized the “First Scientific Forum for Modern Technologies in Dental Implants” with the participation of international professors and lecturers.
In 2009, a competition to design the Syrian Cultural Garden in Cleveland, Ohio, was launched. The garden was part of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, which comprised 30 other gardens representing 30 different countries. The design includes the most significant features of the Syrian history and culture, ancient and modern.

Damascus University and the National Research University - Higher School of Economics in Russia signed a scientific cooperation agreement, aiming to establish and enhance joint academic and scientific cooperation and student exchange and other types of exchange within the capabilities available to both sides on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University continue to take the second semester exams for the academic year 2023-2024 with the participation of 456 students from the seven departments of the faculty. Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Samer Mohsen, stated that the examination process is proceeding optimally after taking all measures and arrangements to provide an appropriate examination environment that ensures students can take their exams quietly and comfortably.

The Higher Institute of Translation and Interpretation organized a workshop entitled "Screen Translation", which focused on the specifics and standards of on-screen translation, training on transcription and translation, creating SRT files using the latest translation software, and how to synchronize text with video clips and integrate translation with video.
The Civil Engineering Faculty Council, Damascus University, held a periodic meeting, during which prospects of cooperation were discussed with the Civil Engineering Faculty at the Architecture and Civil Engineering and Surveying University, Bulgaria. The meeting, which was held remotely (online) was about the final procedures to be taken for signing the agreement between the two mentioned faculties.
