Quality Assurance Center at Damascus University organized a workshop entitled Strategic Planning, in cooperation with the university’s branch in Suwayda in the presence of Dr. Mayssa Al-Sioufi, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Director of the Branch, Professor Walid Naffaa, and representatives of the quality assurance center in the faculties of Damascus University and its higher institutes.

Director of Quality Assurance Center at the university, Dr. Amira Al-Nour, stated that the workshop aims to encourage all cadres in the university’s faculties and institutes to organize workshops, based on the idea of ​​ spreading a culture of quality.

Administrative and human development expert Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ali participated during the workshop with a lecture entitled Analysis Models Used in Planning, in which he emphasized that strategic planning is considered the first stage of strategic management. He also touched on the most important techniques used in the analysis process in strategic planning known as SWOT analysis.

It is noteworthy that the Quality Assurance Center at Damascus University  was established on December 14, 2012, and seeks to achieve a number of goals, including enhancing the culture of quality and accreditation in both the university and society, effective participation in drawing up university policies and plans, and supporting and assisting university administrations in the field of quality assurance.
