A scientific symposium entitled “Syrian Museums Today and in the Future” was held at the Faculty of Tourism, Damascus University, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums and the National Union of Syrian Students, on International Museum Day.
The Bulgarian delegation continued its visit to a number of faculties at Damascus University, which began last week, with the aim of examining the reality of these faculties and discussing prospects for cooperation with them in various fields. The visit included the Faculties of Health Sciences and Information Technology Engineering, in the presence of the Director of International Relations, Mr. Manah Al-Samara.
A number of doctors participating in the “Anesthesiologist between Pain Management and Intensive Care” Conference presented a number of lectures focusing on the new techniques in local anesthesia and analgesia using ultrasound, intensive care, emergency medicine, gynecology and pediatrics, and the latest developments in cardiovascular monitoring, resuscitation of burn patients and monitoring Head bruising.

Through a quick review of the history of television newsroom technology and terrorism topics, it can be said that there was no study before that that addressed how terrorism news is presented from the perspective of studying visual technology in newsrooms. This shows the importance of a study conducted at the Faculty of Media at Damascus University entitled “The Use of Television Visual Technologies in Presenting Terrorism”. It links these technological developments and the mechanism of their employment to terrorism news, through a quantitative study of how ISIS news is presented visually.
Today, the Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University organized a memorial ceremony for Professor Dr. Saadallah Jabour, professor of city planning, who had a long career of excellence, whether in his work as head of the Planning Office in the Damascus Governorate or at Damascus University and other Syrian, Arab and international universities.
During this year, the Faculty of Tourism has implemented a group of different training courses targeting undergraduate students in the third and fourth years, postgraduate studies, and graduates, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students.
Director of the Student Empowerment and Leadership Center, Dr. Ahmed Kheder, held a meeting with a group of students who recently underwent a TOT- Training of Trainers course at the National Union of Syrian students. The meeting aimed at explaining the goals of the center, the action plan for the next stage, the mechanisms for developing these students’ skills and building their training capabilities during this stage, so they can be a key provider of the training process that will be launched soon at the center.
The Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University has organized the first workshop to describe courses according to the CLOS Course Outcomes Model. The workshop runs in the Digital Medical Education Development Center.
