Students of the Second Faculty of Agriculture at the Suwayda Branch of Damascus University discussed their graduation projects for the year 2023/2024, in the presence of the Branch Director, Dr. Walid Naffaa, Deputy Dean of the Faculty for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ola Al-Naddaf, and a group of members of the educational staff, and those interested in the agricultural sector.

 The Digital Center for Skills Development at Damascus University has launched a workshop titled "Advanced Excel Skills" aimed at enhancing the skills of trainees from various university specializations in dealing with advanced Excel functions.

  President of Damascus University, Prof. Muhammad Ossama  Al-Jabban, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia in Damascus, Muhammad Jalalovich Ali, and the Consul Advisor Ghaith Al-Haraki, to discuss ways to enhance and develop scientific and academic cooperation. The meeting focused on the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement between Damascus University and Abkhazia State University.

  Student Empowerment and Leadership Center at Damascus University organized two training workshops on workplace etiquette and strategies for successful job interviews in which students from various specializations participated.

  A number of students from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Science at Damascus University discussed their graduation projects for the year 2023-2024 in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hammoud Al-Orabi, and his Deputy for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ahlam Marouf, and the examining committee consisting of: Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Safarjalani, Dr. Ahmed Daoud, and Dr. Ahmed Bakr.

  The Faculty of Dentistry organized a lecture titled “Practical Benefits of Anterior Composite,” which covered four main topics and included practical training. The lecture targeted final-year students and recent graduates and was held in the college’s conference hall in collaboration with Ivoclar Vivadent, Switzerland.

 The second stage of the Digital Prosthodontics Fellowship Program has started at the Faculty of Dentistry, Damascus University. The program is held in cooperation between the Professional Practice Office (PPO) at the Dentistry Faculty, the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, and the Digital Dental Gate.

  The President of Damascus University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and his Vice President for Open Learning Affairs, Professor Dr. Tayseer Zahir, inspected the examination process in open learning programs for the second semester of the year 2023/2024.

 Mathematics and Its Applications witnessed broad participation in the 14^th International Scientific Conference of the Iraqi Mathematical Society, hosted by Damascus University over two days at the Faculty of Sciences under the motto "Creativity Meets Challenges for Scientific and Technological Progress."

 A scientific study conducted at Damascus University in collaboration with the Atomic Energy Commission highlighted the observation of self-diffraction ring patterns in CdSe quantum dot solution using spatial self-phase modulation (SSPM). The parameters of the self-diffraction ring patterns for the CdSe quantum dot solution were extracted using the theoretical diffraction model. The numerical diffraction ring patterns were in consistent with the experimental diffraction rings using different laser powers. The results provided new insights into the CdSe QDs dissolved in toluene and could be valuabl for further development and research.
