Start of Third Module of the Fellowship Program in Laser Applications

Today, the third module of the Syrian Fellowship Program for Laser Applications in Dentistry has begun, with the participation of elected international lecturer of the International Academy for Laser Applications, Walid Altayeb, a graduate of Damascus University. The module will cover topics related to restorative, cosmetic, and laser use in dental implantology.

Dr. Omar Hamada, Head of the Oral Medicine Department at the Faculty of Dentistry, Damascus University, and the scientific coordinator of the fellowship program, stated that the launch of the third module is a continuation of the program's plan initiated by the Faculty of Dentistry. This module covers topics related to restorative, cosmetic, periodontal, therapeutic, and laser applications in dental implantology during the early stages of implantation or management of diseases around implants.

Dr. Gaith Takriti, director of the e-learning platform, clarified that the platform connects doctors outside of Syria with doctors in the module program to deliver the experiences of trainers and international professors to students in Syria. The platform currently offers new features, including recording lectures and streaming them on the platform to ease the burden on participants, especially those outside Damascus.

It is worth mentioning that the Fellowship Program for Laser Applications in Dentistry will continue for three upcoming modules, with one module per month. The Faculty of Dentistry will launch more modules in various dental specialties in the near future.
