A scientific workshop organized by the Higher Institute for Seismic Research and Studies at Damascus University focused on evaluating the damage caused by the February 6, 2023 earthquake, in Aleppo, Latakia, Jableh, Damascus and its suburbs, as well as proposing appropriate solutions.
The Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences at Damascus University, Department of Sociology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking,” on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, at the faculty’s conference auditorium.
Quality Assurance Center at Damascus University organized a workshop entitled Strategic Planning, in cooperation with the university’s branch in Suwayda in the presence of Dr. Mayssa Al-Sioufi, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Director of the Branch, Professor Walid Naffaa, and representatives of the quality assurance center in the faculties of Damascus University and its higher institutes.
Hydatid cysts are very common in Syria, and their known cause is echinococcus granulosus, which is transmitted to humans through animals. In most cases, it is located in the lung and liver, but it has other less frequent locations.
