Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership at Damascus University concluded a set of training workshops related to general skills organized by the center with the aim of enhancing students’ entry opportunities into the labor market and helping him obtain the appropriate job, in cooperation with some institutions and companies that support the qualification of young people.

Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University organized a workshop on “Cochlear implant from Identification to Rehabilitation”. The workshop is organized with the participation of professors, specialists and experts in the field of auditory rehabilitation from Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
The Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University honored 320 doctors-the top three graduate students from each department and in all years. With the participation of professors, the ceremony was followed by a scientific symposium targeting graduate students. The symposium included lectures on a number of autoimmune diseases.
The Digital Transformation Office at Damascus University launched a training course on publishing on the interactive platform that the university launched last year in cooperation with Foundation for Development (Taazor). Third season of enrichment lectures began at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Damascus University, including three main themes: genetics studies, artificial intelligence and its applications in the medical field, and statistical studies and use of Graphpad software. Lectures are presented by professors and specialists, on Tishreen auditorium in the faculty.
The Global Award for Sustainable Architecture 2024, sponsored by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), was awarded to a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University, Dr. Iyas Shahin, alongside his fellow architect, Dr. Wesam Al-Asali, a graduate of Damascus University. The two researchers received the award at the University of Venice, Italy, on April 19, 2024.
