Opening of Exhibition of Scientific Capabilities of the Universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran at Damascus University

 The exhibition of the scientific capabilities of the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran was inaugurated in the lobby of the Faculty of Law auditorium at Damascus University, in cooperation between the National Union of Syrian Students -  Damascus University Branch and the Iranian Scientific Chancellery, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, and Minister of Media, Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq, and the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, President of the Union of Syrian Students, Dr. Dareen Suleiman, President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, members of the Executive Office of the Union, and a number of deans and students.

 

The exhibition includes pavilions for a number of Iranian universities in various scientific and applied disciplines, containing materials and posters introducing these universities with their departments, educational system and scientific programs.

 

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed in a statement to the media the importance of the exhibition, which is held in cooperation with the Iranian Embassy and the Student Union, and includes the most important Iranian universities specialized in general sciences, basic, medical, engineering and humanities.

 

Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Dr. Hossein Akbari, pointed to the importance of the participation of Iranian universities with their scientific capabilities in this exhibition, pointing out that the participation will be wider in the upcoming exhibitions.

 

President of the National Union of Syrian Students highlighted that the exhibition serves as a platform to strengthen cooperation and facilitate student exchange programs between Syrian and Iranian universities in alignment with existing agreements.

 

It is noteworthy that the exhibition of scientific capabilities of the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the first of its kind in Syria and is scheduled to run from June 9-13.
