Service Technical Projects by the Faculty of Applied Science at Syria Plast Exhibition

The graduation projects by students of the Faculty of Applied Science at Damascus University keep pace with the needs of society, as they present advanced ideas and models ready for practical application in a way that suits the requirements of the labor market. In this context, the faculty participated in the activities of the International Plastic Industries Exhibition “Syria Plast 2024,” held on Damascus Fair Grounds through a pavilion that included graduation projects by students from the faculty’s departments

.

Dean of the faculty, Dr. Raed Al-Sharaa, pointed out that the faculty’s participation in the exhibition comes in the context of the faculty’s interest in displaying quality graduation projects by its students, and providing visitors to the exhibition, industrialists and professionals, with the opportunity to be acquainted with these projects and benefit from their ideas.

Dr. Al-Sharaa explained that the faculty’s pavilion included several distinct service projects, which were selected to participate in the exhibition because they were made of plastic, the most prominent of which is the drone project, which includes a camera, battery, speaker, sensor, and a charger. It can be used for photography, transporting goods, and other uses. In addition, there is a project of an artificial head that simulates the human face with its movements and gestures, and can later be developed to be an integrated artificial head with the introduction of artificial intelligence technology.

Dean of the Faculty confirmed that the projects were admired by many visitors to the exhibition, including industrialists and professionals.
