Closing of Collegiate Programming Contest at Damascus University.

Damascus University organized a closing ceremony for the local university programming competition, Damascus Collegiate Programming Contest, and announced the results of the winning teams in the competition, with the participation of 32 teams from the Faculty of Information Engineering.

 

President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, confirmed in his speech during the closing ceremony that the competition is sponsored by the university as it is considered a global educational program that contributes to raising the name of Damascus University. He also indicates that the university is keen to provide all facilities to enable its students to excel and obtain the highest ranks and grades

Vice President of Damascus University for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Syrian Programming Competition, Dr. Mhd Firas Al-Hinnawi, stated that Damascus University assumed the presidency of the competition for a long period and passed through many stages. It is a competition that gives participants experience and quick wits in solving programming problems and teaches them new methods in this field.

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates, medals and a competition trophy were distributed to the winners, where the La Fishe Au Chocolat team from Damascus University won the first place, while the Give Up Your Dream or Die team (Damascus U) came second. The Last Shot (Damascus U) team took third place, and it was announced that the first nine teams were qualified for the national programming competition at the Syrian level.

 

It is noteworthy that Damascus Collegiate Programming Contest is the qualifying competition for the national competition at the level of Syrian universities, which includes participants from all Syrian universities, and then for the regional competition and from there to the global one.
