The Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University concluded the sessions of the first module of the Fellowship Program in Digital Prosthetic Dentistry, which consists of five modules covering all theoretical, clinical and laboratory applied aspects in the context of fixed prosthetics and methods for accomplishing them with traditional and digital solutions.

 Damascus University hosts a dialogue workshop on the “Challenges of Institutional work in Syria and Its Future Prospects”. The workshop is held in cooperation between the Ministry of Administrative Development and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

 A scientific workshop organized by the Higher Institute for Seismic Research and Studies at Damascus University focused on evaluating the damage caused by the February 6, 2023 earthquake, in Aleppo, Latakia, Jableh, Damascus and its suburbs, as well as proposing appropriate solutions.

The Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences at Damascus University, Department of Sociology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking,” on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, at the faculty’s conference auditorium.

 Quality Assurance Center at Damascus University organized a workshop entitled Strategic Planning, in cooperation with the university’s branch in Suwayda in the presence of Dr. Mayssa Al-Sioufi, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Director of the Branch, Professor Walid Naffaa, and representatives of the quality assurance center in the faculties of Damascus University and its higher institutes.

 Hydatid cysts are very common in Syria, and their known cause is echinococcus granulosus, which is transmitted to humans through animals. In most cases, it is located in the lung and liver, but it has other less frequent locations.

The fourth module of the Syrian fellowship program for laser applications in dentistry has started at Damascus University; the program launched the first module four months ago (on a monthly basis).

Damascus University organized a closing ceremony for the local university programming competition, Damascus Collegiate Programming Contest, and announced the results of the winning teams in the competition, with the participation of 32 teams from the Faculty of Information Engineering.

The Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University launched a fellowship program in digital prosthodontics with distinctive scientific axes and under the supervision of professional academic and scientific expertise. The program aims at advancing dentists in the world of digital dentistry, and includes theoretical training and practical applications.

 Damascus University researcher Dr. Abdul Rahman Kusaibati participated in the 99th conference of the European Orthodontic Society, EOS 2024, which was held in Athens under the title “Challenges of Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Bones”.
