The Syrian Fellowship Program for Laser Applications, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry, aims to provide academic lectures delivered by international experts in laser sciences and their applications in dentistry.

  Damascus University and the National Research University - Higher School of Economics in Russia signed a scientific cooperation agreement, aiming to establish and enhance joint academic and scientific cooperation and student exchange and other types of exchange within the capabilities available to both sides on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University continue to take the second semester exams for the academic year 2023-2024 with the participation of 456 students from the seven departments of the faculty. Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Samer Mohsen, stated that the examination process is proceeding optimally after taking all measures and arrangements to provide an appropriate examination environment that ensures students can take their exams quietly and comfortably.

Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University organized two online lectures, in cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Bulgaria, as part of the periodic lectures program organized by the faculty.

  The Higher Institute of Translation and Interpretation organized a workshop entitled "Screen Translation", which focused on the specifics and standards of on-screen translation, training on transcription and translation, creating SRT files using the latest translation software, and how to synchronize text with video clips and integrate translation with video.

 The Civil Engineering Faculty Council, Damascus University, held a periodic meeting, during which prospects of cooperation were discussed with the Civil Engineering Faculty at the Architecture and Civil Engineering and Surveying University, Bulgaria. The meeting, which was held remotely (online) was about the final procedures to be taken for signing the agreement between the two mentioned faculties.

  Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University participated in the Syrian International Exhibition for Agricultural Mechanization and its Supplies (AGRO Syria 2024), through a special pavilion that included projects from the Mechanical Design Department.

 Professor Dr. Mohammad Iyad Al-Shatti co-authored a research book entitled “The Immune System and Hematopoietic Stem Cells” with researchers from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and the School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, California, USA. The new book was published in ScienceDirect.

 Students of the Faculty of Sharia continue to take their exams for the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024 with the participation of about (400) students. During his tour of the examination halls in the faculty, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Hassan Awad, listened to students’ comments and opinions regarding the examination atmosphere, the level and diversity of questions, and the problems they face during the exams

  A Professional Fellowship Program in Accounting and Taxation was launched at the Faculty of Economics, Damascus University, in cooperation between the Office of Professional Practice at the faculty and the General Commission for Taxes and Fees. The program aims to train graduates of the Economics Faculty, Law Faculty, and Business Administration, who want to develop their skills for the labor market, in addition to candidates from public and private entities.
