Various Scientific Research on “The Role of Regional Planning in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals with the Use of AI Applications (RP-SDG’s-AI)”

 The third international conference on “The Role of Regional Planning in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals with the Use of AI Applications (RP-SDG’s-AI)” included a number of research papers on climate change, land use, components of special development plans, and the impact of artificial intelligence on tourism.

 

Dr. Nisreen Ali Al-Salama, Head of Department of Regional and Urban Planning, talked about an integrated platform for urban food procedures, with the aim of networking the three Ministries of Agriculture, Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, and Economy and Foreign Trade. The platform starts with calculating the increase of the population for years to come and the required supply of water, food, and fertilizers- to be ultimately linked with the import and export processes.

 

From ACSAD, Dr. Ayham Al-Saeed talked about climate change, natural disasters and crises in the Arab world since 2000.

Architect Sham Mahmoud from the Higher Institute of Regional Planning presented about applying artificial intelligence for enhancing tourism. Ms. Mahmoud talked about the systematic nature of tourist networks and the need for more attention for agricultural sites.

 

Engineer Marina Abu Zidan, from the Higher Institute of Regional Planning stressed the importance of defining components, framework, the minimum required- with reference to special development plans of Arab and international countries, supported with practical guides on how to prepare and write these plans.
