Smart management applications in cultural and industrial heritage and water resources: the main focus of the second day of the third international conference on regional planning

 The second day of the third international conference on "The Role of Regional Planning in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals with the Use of AI Applications" focused on the regional development of natural resources, environmental protection, urban engineering and sustainable urban development through a set of research, studies and research projects.

 

The first session included a presentation of studies on the role of water as a natural heritage element in promoting sustainable development in Syria, the impact of adopting AI methodologies in enhancing the efficiency of tourism networks in rural areas in Tartous Governorate, the role of AI methodologies in enhancing the work of infrastructure networks in industrial cities, and the impact of enhancing social capital in making cities resilient.

 

The research presented under the theme of Urban Engineering and Sustainable Urban Development discussed smart management of cultural heritage, early warning using AI applications to model purification plants, smart water resources management strategies system in adapting to climate change, green infrastructure and sustainable gardening in addition to saving energy, preserving natural resources and achieving sustainability.

 

The second session focused on regional green transportation and its impact on the transformation of the individual, society and economy, evaluating the reality of the green economy in light of the war on Syria.

 

The final session of the conference included a presentation by the General Authority for Biotechnology and a set of studies and research on marketing new cities created by artificial intelligence as a planning tool for urban development.
