A memorandum of Understanding between Damascus University and Jordanian Jadara University

 Damascus University and Jadara University have signed a memorandum of understanding, with the aim of deepening and developing scientific cooperation relations and academic exchange.

 

The two parties agreed to cooperate in the fields of exchanging faculty members, researchers, and students for the purposes of teaching, research, and academic curricula, in addition to developing and exchanging scientific programs, conducting joint scientific research, and providing scientific and material capabilities like (expertise, techniques, laboratories, materials, etc.)

 

According to the terms of the memorandum, the two parties will also cooperate in supporting innovation of researchers, faculty professors, and students, as well as providing an appropriate research environment for them, activating the advancement of scientific research methods, and joint supervision of graduate students. Cooperation will involve activating work in the field of testing, transferring, and localizing modern and advanced technologies in common specializations through training specialized personnel in these fields.

 

The terms of the memorandum include holding seminars, conferences, discussion panels, scientific meetings and workshops in the common fields. They also include the participation of researchers in the advisory aspect, continual education and courses for both parties, and the exchange of publications, educational papers and available research information.

 

According to the memorandum, a follow-up committee will be formed to prepare executive programs that specify the mechanisms and details for implementing the provisions of the memorandum, determine a specific time plan for joint activities and prepare proposals related to providing the most appropriate conditions for achieving cooperation. The memorandum enters into force from the date of its signing and remains in effect for a period of five years and is automatically renewed for a similar period.
