Scientific Session at the Faculty of Media on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in International Journalism

 A scientific session on “Artificial Intelligence in International Journalism” was organized by the Faculty of Media at Damascus University. During the session, Dr. Fedaa Mohamed, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Journalism at Ahram Canadian University, gave an online lecture.

 

The session focused on aspects of employing artificial intelligence in the field of journalism, such as collecting, editing and filtering news, avoiding fake news, generating media texts, in addition to ethics for using artificial intelligence.

 

In a statement to the university's website, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Baraa Shuqair, stressed the importance of investing in modern technologies to identify external experiences, and to acquire important skills in various media disciplines to keep pace with modern professional developments in the field of media.

 

Scientific coordinator of the session, Dr. Tala Al-Yamani, indicated that the goal of this event is to provide students with the most prominent academic research and professional developments in the field of media.
