The third international conference on “The Role of Regional Planning in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals with the Use of AI Applications (RP-SDG’s-AI)”, organized by the Higher Institute of Regional Planning at Damascus University in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students, was launched. It was also accompanied by a scientific exhibition of posters and an exhibition of academic bodies participating in the conference in Reda Saeed Conference Center.

 Students of the Faculty of Medicine continue to take their exams for the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024, which began on 3/7/2024 and continues until 13/8/2024

 Activities of the scientific day on "Photodynamic therapy in scientific research and in medical applications" began at the Higher Institute for Laser Research and its applications at Damascus University, with the participation of researchers and specialists from the university and the Atomic Energy Commission.

 Damascus University has completed all preparations to begin the second semester exams for the academic year 2023-2024, starting on the 3rd of July until the 13th of August. The number of students who applied for the exams reached 183,654 students in Damascus faculties and its branches in Daraa, Sweida, and Quneitra.

 Damascus University and Jadara University have signed a memorandum of understanding, with the aim of deepening and developing scientific cooperation relations and academic exchange.

 With the aim of enhancing and developing scientific, academic, and research cooperation, and encouraging student and academic exchange, Damascus University and Yugraa State University in the Russian Federation have signed a memorandum of understanding and joint scientific collaboration.

Employing communication skills to raise the quality of higher education is the focus of the workshop organized by the Quality Assurance Center at Damascus University, in cooperation with the Sweida Branch, in the presence of quality directors and representatives at faculties.

A workshop on how to publish in SCOPUS indexed journals has been organized by the Faculty of Sharia, Damascus University, for postgraduates and students from some other specializations.

The graduation projects by students of the Faculty of Applied Science at Damascus University keep pace with the needs of society, as they present advanced ideas and models ready for practical application in a way that suits the requirements of the labor market. In this context, the faculty participated in the activities of the International Plastic Industries Exhibition “Syria Plast 2024,” held on Damascus Fair Grounds through a pavilion that included graduation projects by students from the faculty’s departments.
