The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University participated in the Fifth Syria International Exhibition for SyriaPlast 2024, through a pavilion in which innovative projects by the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Textile Industries and Their Technology.

Head of the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering, Dr. Al-Mohallab Dawood, explained that the Department participates in the exhibition by displaying a group of standard devices, in order to introduce industrialists and professionals visiting the exhibition to the capabilities of the Department, its laboratory equipment and its ability to conduct industrial tests, especially in the field of the plastic industry.

Dr. Dawood pointed out that the exhibition is an opportunity for students and graduates of the Department to network with the labor market, especially since they have good experience working on these devices, as they are available for practical training during their years of study.

The Department also participated in a plastic project by Engineer Raghad Abo Assaf, which is a flexible three-dimensional clamp that adapts to the shape of the piece.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Textile Industries and Their Technology participated in the exhibition through a “thread quality control device on the spinning machine” designed by Engineer Ammar Yasser Azzam.
