The Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University concluded the sessions of the first module of the Fellowship Program in Digital Prosthetic Dentistry, which consists of five modules covering all theoretical, clinical and laboratory applied aspects in the context of fixed prosthetics and methods for accomplishing them with traditional and digital solutions.

Scientific Coordinator of the Fellowship Program and Head of the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics, Dr. Shaza Kanout, indicated that the first module included practical training on intra-oral photography via a digital intra-oral scanner, and professional photography to develop correct treatment plans for the patient, and to know if s/he needs a smile design or lengthening the crown, or any other preparatory treatment details, so that the dentist can begin the correct treatment and design the appropriate dental prosthesis.
