The Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University conducted a clinical skills test (OSCE) for final-year students in the Audiology Department, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine.
A dialogue session was held at Damascus University entitled “Youth and the Promotion of Culture and National Identity, the Role of Universities, Media, and Non-Governmental Youth Organizations,” organized by the National Union of Syrian Students.
The exhibition of the scientific capabilities of the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran was inaugurated in the lobby of the Faculty of Law auditorium at Damascus University, in cooperation between the National Union of Syrian Students - Damascus University Branch and the Iranian Scientific Chancellery, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, and Minister of Media, Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq, and the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, President of the Union of Syrian Students, Dr. Dareen Suleiman, President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, members of the Executive Office of the Union, and a number of deans and students.
The Technology Growth Incubator participated in the Information and Communications Technology Exhibition - HiTech, from June 4 – 8. This exhibition constitutes an important information forum that presents the latest and most important solutions, systems, software, and applications. It also represents an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in the field of informatics, smart cities, e-government, e-payment and others.
The National Authority for Quality and Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education conducted the Unified Pharmacy Exam, June 2024, for fifth-year students, graduates of pharmacy faculties in public and private universities, and graduates of non-Syrian universities.
The second group of specialized training workshops launched by the Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership during the second half of May focused on specialized skills and scientific research, as well as freelancing skills that enable the student to enter the labour market during their university studies.
The Second International Conference on Renewable Energies, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University, concluded its work, which witnessed large participation from local and foreign universities, centers, scientific and research bodies, and representatives of the relevant ministries and unions.
Damascus University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Osama Al-Jabban, met with the Head of the Austrian Diplomatic Mission in Damascus, Mr. Peter Krois. During the meeting, a collection of books in German in various fields of science and literature were presented as a gift to Damascus University.
The conference, organized by the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University, focused on several topics, including modeling and measurement in digital transformation, and the digital transformation strategy in the government sector, with presentations of their experiences in this field.
The Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University hosted an online scientific lecture by Syrian expatriate Professor Dr. Omar Kogan on “World Health Organization updates on potentially malignant oral lesions and histological dysplasia (clinical and histological review)”, which was attended by a number of the teaching staff and postgraduate students in the conference hall at the faculty.
