Lectures of the first day of the first annual international conference of the Syrian Association of Psychiatrists focused on mental health and sleep disorders among residents of Syria, the challenges of personalized and precision medicine in psychiatry, addiction and pain, psychiatry and the law, and esketamine in the treatment of treatment-resistant depression.
In cooperation with Damascus University, the Syrian Psychiatric Association had its first annual international conference under the title “Integration of Mental Health Pathways”. Professors and specialists in psychiatry, mental health, counseling and psychotherapy from Syria and overseas participated in the conference.
The fourth axis focuses on greenhouse gas emissions, recycling, waste management and climate change law and policy, through a virtual lecture by Dr. Sherine El Baradei from Egypt via "Zoom", entitled "The impact of global warming on water quality in rivers and thus on the waste distribution plan in rivers".
Department of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University, organized a training workshop titled "Temporal Bone Dissection" in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy and the Syrian Society of Otolaryngology. The workshop took place over two days at Al-Mouwasat Hospital with the aim of training specialist doctors in delicate ear and hearing surgeries. The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sobhi Al-Bahri, and several specialist doctors.
The Higher Institute for Administrative Development at Damascus University organized a workshop on the mechanism for setting technical performance indicators for the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, with the participation of 36 trainees from all the Ministry’s institutions and directorates in the governorates.
As part of its plan aimed at meeting the needs of university students, the Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership has conducted a survey to determine theses needs and design suitable programs to meet them.
A seminar on Political Economy of Stagflation, a book written by Dr. Raslan Khaddour and published by the Syrian General Organization of Books, was organized by the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University.

The Technical Institute for Agriculture at Damascus University, in cooperation with Reach to Infinity Training and Consultation Team, organized a training course on “The Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Agricultural and Educational technologies”, with the participation of experts, specialists and professors from the Institute.
Department of Archaeology at the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences at the Damascus University concluded its production camp for the academic year 2023/2024, which was organized in cooperation with the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums in Damascus. The camp included a group of activities and events that contributed to enhancing the students' skills and providing them with the necessary knowledge in the field of archaeology.
