الأستاذ الدكتور رائد أبو حرب
تخرج من كلية الطب البشري في جامعة دمشق عام 1985 وتابع دراساته في قسم الباطنة وعين كمعيد في كلية الطب البشري عام 1987، أوفد بعدها إلى فرنسا لتحضير الاختصاص فحصل على شهادة مزاولة المهنة عام 1990 وشهادة الاختصاص في التصوير بالأمواج فوق الصوتية والإيكو الباطني عام 1991 وشهادة الاختصاص في الأمراض النفسية الجسدية عام 1993 وشهادة التصوير الشعاعي في أمراض الجهاز الهضمي وشهادة الاختصاص في طب الطورائ عام 1994 وأخيراً شهادة الاختصاص في أمراض الهضم والكبد عام 1996 من جامعة باريس، عاد بعدها إلى سوريا وتم تعينه كمدرس في كلية الطب وما زال حتى الآن أستاذ يعمل على تدريس أمراض الهضم والكبد في جامعة دمشق.
تسلم رئاسة الشعبة الهضمية في مشفى المواساة الجامعي ومن الجدير بالذكر أن الدكتور رائد أبو حرب كان أول من أدخل تقنية الإيكو الباطني إلى مشفى المواساة الجامعي في عام 2006 وقد كان الجهاز الأول الذي تم إدخالة إلى القطر.
تسلم رئاسة قسم الأمراض الباطنة في جامعة دمشق لأربع سنوات متتالية من 2016 حتى 2020 وحالياً يشغل منصب عميد كلية الطب البشري في جامعة دمشق.
نائب رئيس المجلس السوري لأمراض الهضم منذ عام 2015 وعضو في الجمعية السورية لأمراض الهضم منذ عام 1997.


Prof. Raed Abu Harb
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in 1985 and specialized in Internal Medicine and was appointed as a teaching assistant in the faculty in 1987. After which, he was delegated to France to pursue his studies and obtained a certificate of practicing the profession in 1990, a certificate of specialization in ultrasound and internal echo in 1991, a certificate of specialization in psychosomatic diseases in 1993, a certificate in Interventional Radiology in Digestive Pathology, a specialty certificate in emergency medicine in 1994, and finally, a certificate in digestive and liver diseases in 1996 from the University of Paris, then he returned to Syria and was appointed as a teacher at the Faculty of Medicine and is still a professor teaching digestive and liver diseases at Damascus University.
He held the position of Head of the digestive division at Al-Mowasat University Hospital. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Raed Abu Harb was the first to introduce the internal echo technique to Al-Mowasat University Hospital in 2006, and it was the first device in the country.
He took the position of Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Damascus University for four consecutive years from 2016 to 2020, and currently, he holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University.
He's been the Vice-President of The Syrian Board of Gastroenterology since 2015 and a Member of The Syrian Society Of Gastroenterology since 1997.
