Memorandum of Understanding between Damascus University and the General Company GCES for Engineering Studies
Damascus University signed a memorandum of understanding  with the General Company for Engineering Studies aimed at establishing an Engineering  Research and Development Center ERDC at GCES.
This center in cooperation with its partner (Universities and other institutions in Syria) will implement researches that forms the foundation of the entire public works technologies, that are the following:
-    Prevention and reduction of natural disasters.
-    Improvement of living environment.
-    Measures regarding environment issues such as energy/ resources saving and development.
-    Advanced research and development such as new materials, new construction methods for reconstruction.
-    Research and development in urban and rural areas.
