On the 22nd of May 2023 Prof. Dr. Mhd. Osama Jabban the president of Damascus University had a meeting at his office with Mr. Jose Gregorio Biomorji, Ambassador of Venezuela in Syria, in the presence of the vice presidents of Damascus University .

Discussion revolved around the possibility of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation in various scientific and research fields between Damascus University and Venezuelan public universities, in addition to exchanging joint scientific activities, research, expertise, professors, and student exchange, especially in medical fields.
