Memorandum of Understanding between Damascus University and the Ministry of Information

Damascus University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Information., aimed at promoting and developing joint cooperation in the fields of information and media training, and utilizing the scientific and technical competencies of both sides for the enrichment of the media work.
The two parties agreed to collaborate and draw on academic and information expertise in various specialties to be utilized in supporting the training and educational process and providing specialized academic staff in the field of information.
The Ministry is committed to:
-    Providing the necessary facilities, through its media institutions and infrastructure, to train the Media faculty students in the multimedia (audio-visual and  printed).
-    Proposing postgraduate research topics on media and utilize them in developing the public information work, and inviting the Media faculty students to participate in the ministry's activities and events.
The University is committed to
-    Designation the scientific competencies from the faculty members and post- graduate students to be trained and qualified by the Ministry for appearance in the multimedia, and Providing a detailed training program for the Media faculty students, to be conducted in the Ministry of Information and its institutions.
-    Making the university infrastructure available for the ministry media work, and providing the ministry with copies of the post-graduate researches related to media topics.
